Track Form Spam
Oncord’s form spam scoring helps identify suspicious submissions and reduce unwanted form responses. Legitimate submissions can sometimes be flagged, so review the spam log when investigating a missing submission.
Oncord checks each form submission against a set of rules and adds their scores together. Higher scores indicate greater suspicion of spam. Suspicious signals add points, while some checks can reduce the score. A total score of 50 or more stops normal submission processing, records the attempt in the spam log and prompts the visitor to complete additional CAPTCHA verification.
Completing verification reduces the score, but does not guarantee acceptance. If the score remains 50 or more, the submission is still blocked. Spam checks are bypassed for logged-in administrators and when spam prevention is disabled on the form. To test the visitor experience, use a signed-out browser session.
How to View Spam Form Submissions
Follow these steps to review Form Spam submissions:
- Navigate to Dashboard > Pages > Forms.
- Click the "Spam" tab at the top of the page.
- On the Form Spam page, you can view detailed insights about each flagged submission:
- Date: Shows the time when the form was submitted. Submissions can be sorted by newest or oldest.
- At URL: Indicates the page location where the form was submitted.
- Posted Values: Displays the content entered in each form field, helping you understand what was submitted.
- Rules: Lists the scoring breakdown, showing each rule and its corresponding score.
- Score: Reflects the total score assigned to the submission.
- IP Address: Identifies the submitter’s IP address.
